MediaJury Terms of Use.
Effective Date: November 29, 2025Welcome to MediaJury (the "Platform"), operated by MediaJury.org ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Platform, including uploading arguments, evidence, or participating in debates, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform. By using the Platform, you represent that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
2. Description of Services
MediaJury is an online debate platform where users submit arguments, evidence (via URLs, images, PDFs, or other documents), and conclusions for vetting against established methodologies and standards. All submissions are reviewed for factual accuracy, logical consistency, and evidentiary support. Users may classify evidence as public or private (on demand), but public content is visible to all users.
3. User Accounts
- To upload content or participate fully, you must create an account with accurate information.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms.
4. User Content and Conduct
Ownership
You retain ownership of your User Content (arguments, evidence, etc.), but grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to host, display, and use it as needed to operate the Platform, including for vetting and public display (unless classified private).
Responsibilities

You represent that you have rights to all uploaded content and it does not infringe third-party rights.
5. Vetting Process
- Submissions undergo thorough review by qualified vettors using proven methodologies (e.g., logical fallacies checks, source credibility assessment).
- We may edit, reject, or remove content that fails standards.
- Conclusions are not guaranteed; the Platform promotes evidence-based discourse, not endorsements.
6. Prohibited Activities
You agree not to:
- Upload viruses, malware, or harmful code.
- Harass, impersonate, or spam users.
- Interfere with the Platform's operation.
- Use automated tools to scrape or copy content without permission.
- Commercialize the Platform without our consent.
7. Intellectual Property
- The Platform, including design, methodologies, and trademarks, is owned by us or our licensors.
- You may not copy, modify, or distribute Platform content except as permitted.
8. Termination
- We may suspend or terminate your access for violations, with or without notice.
- Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ends; we may retain User Content for records.
9. Disclaimers
- As-Is Basis: The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of accuracy, completeness, or uninterrupted access.
- No Liability for User Content: We do not endorse or verify all User Content; vetting does not guarantee truth.
- Risk of Use: You use the Platform at your own risk, including reliance on debates or evidence.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
- Total liability shall not exceed $100 or the amount you paid us (if any) in the past 12 months.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your User Content or violations of these Terms.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Check this page periodically.
